Taking a look at the factory intercooler plumbing we knew right away that we could make great improvements! First, we saw how much rubber was in the plumbing, this causes a reduction in boost pressure due to the hoses blowing up. Second, we took the flat sections out of the plumbing and alot of the bends. This helps reduce turbo lag in the system. Bigger is not always better! A common problem is to design a kit which is ment for a race car. We paired the correct tubing size on the hot side and cold side of the intercooler to yield the following: A reduction in lag (turbo will hit full boost sooner), better throttle responce and an increase in boost pressure which equals more power! The hardpipe kit replaces all of the OEM plumbing and we even offer it with a flange for a blow off valve. BLOW OFF VALVES (Yup, sound is not the main reason for getting one. :) ) We offer out HP kit with a greddy or HKS flange so you can mount a BOV on it. If you do not have enough funds to order a BOV then we recommend you order an Greddy BOV flange. We can offer you a block off plate for the greddy flange which you can replace later once you get a Greddy BOV. With a BOV you will notice your turbo recover sooner after the shift. For example, when you shift it takes a a few RPM for the turbo to hit full boost. With a BOV you will get the turbo pressure a few RPM sooner vs the stock alone. Oh yeah and you will get the sound. :) IF YOU WANT AN HKS BOV OR A GREDDY THEN IN THE COMMENTS STATE THAT YOU WANT IT, ITS $230 MOUNTED ON. YOU NEED QUALITY SNAP-RING PLIARS TO MOUNT IT. IT WILL NOT BE UPDATED IN HE CHECK OUT!!!! We can install a water injection port on the plumbing for a few bux more if needed. We can also add a Nitrious port too. Let us know what you need. |
