We have come up with a blow off valve kit for the caliber which is a direct for for the factory cold side pipe (pipe to throttle body). We have factory style mounts so you can transfer your sensors over to the pipe. Though 99.9 percent of the people purchase a BOV for the sound, those .1 % will notice how much sooner the turbo recovers and comes on line after the shift. Read our tech section and look up BOV 101, it tells you how a bov works and why its a great investment besides sound. We recommend you leave the factory surge valve alone! The car performs better with both units in place. Also when you start to raise the boost, you will have added volume coming out of the turbo so the to valves will be able unload the turbo better vs using just one. We like using the HKS bov. If you order it below, we will mount it on free of charge. You need special snap ring tooling to mount the bov onto the flange. IF you have them, make sure they are a good quality that does not have interchangable tips on it because they will come apart during the install. OPTION: We can place a water injection and nitrious boss on the pipe for $25 extra. OH yeah, it sounds cool too (for those 99% of you.) :) This is at low boost, the bov much louder when the engine is under a load. Exhaust sound is our full downpipe and muffler delete. |
