This is the first hardpipe on the market for the evo x that will allow for future upgrades! Expect more boost, quicker turbo recovery and more HP by just swapping the pipes!
The pipes replace the rubber OEM plumbing with metal tubing. This will prevent you from loosing boost from the blowing up of the oem rubber hoses. Also you are lease likely to blow off your pipes. We provide aggressive beads at the end of the pipes to prevent them from coming apart.
FEATURES:
1. Shorter hose for surge valve.
The OEM setup as well as aftermarket kits have the OEM recirculation tubing coming off the throttle body pipe. This hose is about 2 feet + long. This causes your factory surge valve to cycle slower. We went and connected the surge valve hose to the hotside pipe which is about 90% shorter than the OEM routing! This allows the turbo to recover sooner after the shift.
2. Swappable flanges.
We went ahead and installed a flange on the hotside pipe to allow for future upgrades. It comes with a flange which allows you to run the OEM surge valve as well as an aftermarket BOV. The kit comes standard with an HKS or Greddy flange and you can choose to recirculate or vent the BOV.
3. 3" Throttle Body Pipe
Just like the flanges, we added insurance to this kit and went with a 3" throttle pipe vs 2.5". The EVO will be above 500HP with in the year so we figured we would supply you with a pipe that was big enough to support the larger turbos. If you prefer a 2.5" pipe, we can offer that too.
4. Water Injection / NOS Boss
Every system we sell comes with a 1/8 NPT boss located on the throttle body pipe. This allows for future modifications. Most people drill a hole in the pipe and screw in a boss. However the tubing is not thick enough to saftely hold a screwed in boss in place. So we went ahead and welded one in there for you! No need for you to screw up the powdercoated finish on the pipe.
