We are very excited to finally offer the community a DIRECT FIT, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT downpipe which will bolt up to your stock catback or any other catback system which bolts up to the stock downpipe (like the invidia/miltek)! This will fit in the same location as the stock system and has the sensor fittings for your O2 sensors.
We have put over 300 miles on on various cooper S including the new 09 clubman which has a more sensitive computer and have not gotten any CEL codes with our downpipes.
We had to manufacture special tooling to bring this downpipe out to the community. We are now able to make the correct flare in the downpipe to mate to the stock catback system.
The Mini is a ULEV (ultra low emissions vehicle) which is why regular OBDII compliant cats and highflow cats trigger a CEL light. We spoke to one of our catalytic converter manufactures to provide us with a metallic high-flowing cat which had enough precious metals in it to filter the exhaust correctly with out triggering a CEL as well as passing a sniffer test! After a few months of testing the cat on our 3" systems we went ahead and adapted it to our direct fit downpipe.
As an added service we are wrapping the cats with header wrap to help keep engine bay temps down !
We have a fully ceramic coating option. This keeps a lot of the heat in which is lost energy. By keeping the heat inside you have better velocity in the pipe and lower engine bay temps.
The full ceramic coating takes about an extra week to have done if we don't have it on hand.
The check out will not show the options added, we will manually process it on our end.
